|Frequently asked questions
How can I get my email?
Our cottages now have Internet service, which you can access with your own laptop or we can give you a WiFi card. You can also use the computer in the Guest Office which has a high-speed connection. WiFi service is free, but you will be billed for use of the Guest Office desktop.
How is the snorkeling and scuba diving?
We have some of the best snorkeling in the BVI at special points around the Island to which you can swim, boat or kayak, and we will arrange diving for you. See Marine Life.
Is there waterskiing?
Yes. Our staff can take you waterskiing on White Bay.
What kind of tennis courts do you have?
We have the only Hydro court in the BVI (plays like clay) plus an Omni court (Astroturf and special sand). We were once described by World Tennis magazine as the Caribbean resort with the highest guest to court ratio, 30:2.
Are there rooms at the beach?
North Beach Villa, our only beach house, sits alone and secluded on North Beach. The other cottages are scattered along a scenic ridge so all rooms have amazing views of the Atlantic and the Caribbean.
Does the Island have a pool?
North Beach Villa and the villas Harbour House and Jost House have pools—for the use of their own guests.
Are your rooms private?
Yes. All our rooms have private entrances and private terraces. Guana is all about privacy!
Can we take day trips to other islands?
Yes you can. Favorite stops are the Caves and Pirates Bight at Norman Island, Foxy’s at Jost Van Dyke, the Baths at Virgin Gorda, the beaches of Anegada and shopping on Tortola.
Do you take children?
Guana can be a wonderful and formative experience for well-behaved children especially during our Summer Kids Weeks. We do monitor their number and the dates when they come, so if you prefer being at Guana when there are no children, please specify that when you make your reservation.
Can we rent the Island? And have our wedding there?
Yes. Our full Island rentals are extraordinary events whether for weddings, birthdays, reunions, business gatherings or any other occasion. We also accommodate smaller weddings. Please visit our Rent the Island and Weddings pages for more information.
What is your food like?
Our guests rave about it. Our chefs have been with us for years and produce American, Continental and Caribbean cuisine using fine, imported meats and fowl, local fish and Guana-grown fruits from our organic Orchard. Dinners are a three-or four–course menu and always have an alternate selection available with second servings of everything. Special requests are easily accommodated.
Is medical care available?
Special and emergency services are available at nearby Peebles Hospital on Tortola. Medical services can also be provided by private physicians on Tortola or on Guana. Medical air evacuation services to San Juan or mainland US can be arranged.
